Weight Loss Progress
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

In 1999, I lost 70 pounds. By January 1, 2009 I had gained back the 70 pounds I lost in 1999 along with a 32 pound bonus. Most of my major weight losses have been in years ending in 9. I hope to repeat this history of successful weight losses during 2009. I am determined to loose 102+ pounds by the end of 2009.

My first week of eating behavior modifications was not perfect (it is hard to break old eating habits) but I did loose 5 pounds since last Tuesday. I am sure that some of the 5 pounds was fluid, and I do not expect (and would not want) to loose 5 pounds every week. If I can loose a minimum of 2 pounds a week, I will be very happy.

The main thing is that I continue to loose weight each week and do not slide back to my old weight gaining eating habits.

Another ok day. Had my usual breakfast, no snack at the movie, and no dessert after dinner. The main thing is that I continue to eliminate snacks, desserts, etc., and watch the portion size of the main meal.

I had a good start today toward my weight reduction goal. If I can just have 364 more days like today, I will be ok. I had my usual cereal/orange juice/fat free hot chocolate breakfast. I went to a movie and had a diet soda with no snack. After the movie, I had a good supper in Harvard Square, but I did not have a dessert. When I got home, I had a few peanut butter crackers with a diet soda. In the past I would have had several packs of crackers.

Today was not a perfect day from a weight reduction perspective; however, I ate less than I normally would have and, overall, I consider today a good start to my goal of loosing 100+ pounds by the end of 2005.
