Weight Loss Progress

In 1999, I lost 70 pounds. By January 1, 2009 I had gained back the 70 pounds I lost in 1999 along with a 32 pound bonus. Most of my major weight losses have been in years ending in 9. I hope to repeat this history of successful weight losses during 2009. I am determined to loose 102+ pounds by the end of 2009.

I postponed the start of my major weight reduction from October 1, 2004 until November 1, 2004. November 1 is a Monday, the weather will be getting cooler, and I will have had another month of retirement celebration for a total of four months. The four month retirement celebration has been great; however, it is now time to focus on my major retirement project - significant weight loss.

I am confident that I will start the major weight reduction on November 1 and, although I am sure I will have a few "I ate too much" days, overall I am confident I will loose 100+ pounds by the end of 2005.

Overall, I have behaved this first week of my weight loss. I have lost five pounds, which is a good start. I do not anticipate (or want) to loose five pounds each week. I am sure some of the loss was just excess water.

I did celebrate a little today (had a desert), but I must watch myself to ensure I don't make deserts a habit again.

Day 2 went well. I did have a nice steak dinner, but had no desert. At the movies, I had no snacks.

I will continue to have nice full course dinners (no deserts though) at least once or twice a week. As long as I behave the rest of the week, I am confident I can still loose my desired weight. If I can't, I will cut back on the dinners. Myweight loss is definitely my top priority.

Today was a good start to my weight reduction. I went to a movie and had no snacks, I only ate twice, and did not have a desert after my dinner.

Now, if I can just do 364 more days like today, I will be ok.
